Shots Fired In Nova Scotia Neighbourhood, Suspects Still At Large

North Sydney, Nova Scotia – The Cape Breton Regional Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 2015 White Hyundai Elantra with NS License Plate HAW 341, last seen in the Purves Street area of North Sydney travelling towards Highway 105, with two or three male occupants.

The police believe that the people in the vehicle are in possession of a firearm after shots were fired at a residence on Barrington Street in Sydney Mines early this morning. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the police are treating this as an isolated incident.

Law enforcement is advising the public not to approach this vehicle under any circumstances. Instead, if anyone has any information on its whereabouts, they are urged to contact the Police immediately at 902-563-5151 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

The Cape Breton Regional Police has also advised the public to exercise caution and be aware of their surroundings. Anyone who may have seen the vehicle or has any information regarding the incident is asked to come forward and assist the police with their investigation. The police are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
