Saskatoon, Canada – A devastating incident has shaken the community after a 23-year-old Ghanaian student was brutally stabbed 17 times in 30 seconds by a coworker, Troy Leclair, just one week into his new part-time job.
The family of the victim believes that the attack was an anti-Black hate crime and is seeking justice and support.

Leclair appeared in court via phone on January 29 and has retained a private lawyer. The case has been adjourned.
