Their chants echoed racialized sentiments straight from the playbook of ethno-nationalist networks seen online and in other Canadian cities, groups tied to broader white supremacist and “active club” movements that have been flagged by watchdogs for promoting xenophobia and training for race-based conflict.

Now, picture the irony, they’re chanting about deportation and “remigration” while Canada is in the middle of a very real and controversial debate on immigration policy.
