More Vaccine Clinics Coming To Toronto To Boost Immunization In Seniors

Toronto Public Health continues to bring vaccination clinics to local community centers for people 65 and older

Last night, Toronto Public Health announced that it is committed to bringing COVID-19 vaccination clinics into community centers over the next two weeks to make it easier for Torontonians to access the COVID-19 vaccine in their daily workplaces and recreation venues.

The specific operating hours of these community centers are as follows:
Agincourt Recreation Centre: Tuesday, May 3 and 10
Amesbury Community Centre: Tuesday, May 3 and 10
York-Fairbank Centre: Tuesday, May 3 and 10
Burrows Hall Community Centre: Wednesday, May 4 and 11
Scadding Court Community Centre: Wednesday, May 4 and 11
Carmine Stefano Community Centre: Thursday, May 5 and 12
L’Amoreaux Community Centre: Friday, May 6 and 13
Scarborough Village Community Centre: Friday, May 6 and 13
Chalkfarm Community Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15
Earl Bales Community Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15
Stephen Leacock Community Recreation Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15
Wallace Emerson Community Centre: Sunday, May 8 and 15

“Team Toronto’s efforts to help residents of every age get vaccinated against COVID-19 have been non-stop, and this is another great opportunity for those age 65 and older to receive their next eligible dose. We’ve come a long way as a city, and I urge residents to continue doing their part to protect themselves and those around them by getting vaccinated as soon as possible,” Toronto mayor John Tory states.

Torontonians who are unvaccinated are encouraged to book an appointment to receive the next available dose of the COVID vaccine. A Health card is not required for appointments, but a mask is necessary to ensure the recipient’s safety, as vaccination clinics are considered health care settings.
