Riding on the wave of two previous convincing victories over Uganda and Egypt, Senegal outclassed and knocked out Madagascar. A hat trick came from Mamour Diagne, while a brace came off Seydina Diagne. Souley Coly, Saliou Ndaye, and Seydina Sene recorded a goal each. Marcel Richard, Joel Jindy, and Ymelda Razafimandimby were on the score sheet for Madagascar.

Senegal’s overwhelming victory sets them up for a demanding encounter with Mozambique. This semifinal is billed for October 26, while Morocco takes on Egypt in the day’s second match.
