The International Organization for Press and Media (IOPM), based in the Netherlands, has announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Pro Media in the Arab Republic of Egypt to deliver specialized training programs in journalism, media, and communications. The programs will target media professionals, journalists, content creators, and university students in Egypt, across the Arab world, and internationally.
The partnership aims to enhance media competencies and strengthen international cooperation in professional media training through a series of specialized courses, workshops, and development programs led by distinguished experts and academics. The initiatives will reflect the latest advancements in digital media, content creation, artificial intelligence, and corporate communications.
Mr. Khaled Bakdash, President of the International Organization for Press and Media, described the partnership as a strategic milestone in the organization’s mission to expand its regional and international presence while strengthening its role in preparing media professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
Bakdash said:
“We believe that investing in people is the foundation of media development. Through this partnership with Pro Media, we will deliver internationally recognized training programs that help build highly qualified media professionals capable of adapting to digital transformation and evolving industry standards, while strengthening cooperation among media institutions around the world.”
Mohamed El-Hegan, President of Pro Media, said the collaboration with the International Organization for Press and Media marks an important step forward in the company’s ongoing commitment to professional training and development. He noted that the partnership will provide high-quality educational programs tailored to the needs of media professionals, news organizations, universities, and technical and academic training institutions throughout Egypt and the broader region.
El-Hegan added:
“We look forward to launching a series of specialized courses and workshops that combine academic excellence with practical, real-world application. Our programs will focus on digital media, content creation, and the integration of artificial intelligence into modern journalism, helping prepare professionals who can successfully compete in the global media industry.”
Both organizations said the agreement includes the development of joint training programs, media conferences, professional forums, trainer certification initiatives, and the issuance of accredited professional certificates. Together, these efforts are intended to raise the standard of media training while encouraging greater collaboration and knowledge-sharing among media organizations.
The International Organization for Press and Media and Pro Media also confirmed that the first phase of the initiative will begin in the Arab Republic of Egypt before expanding to additional countries across the Middle East and Europe. The organizations said a comprehensive training calendar will be announced in the coming months, reflecting their shared commitment to supporting professional journalism, promoting lifelong learning, and building international partnerships that contribute to the future growth and development of the global media industry.
