Ahmaud Arbery was an innocent unarmed Black Man murdered while jogging

Georgia Judge Timothy Walmsley today, found all three men guilty in the horrendous unjust killing of Ahmaud Arbery. Travis McMichael and his father Gregory McMichael were sentenced to life in prison plus twenty years without the possibility of parole. The McMichaels neighbour William Bryan was also sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years.

“They have no remorse and do not deserve any leniency,” Said, Arbery’s mother Wanda Cooper – Jones as she gave her victim impact statement.

“Ahmaud, rest in peace, because mom and dad got it. Glory for it,” Said, Arbery’s father Marcus Arbery

“Ahmaud Arbery was then hunted down and shot, and he was killed because individuals here in this courtroom took the law into their own hands.” Said, Judge Timothy Walmsley

Under Georgian law, all three murderers can appeal their sentences if they are filed within 30 days. It is very like appeals will be filed but highly unlikely any of their sentences will be vacated. Now that the criminal trial has commenced, it is expected multiple civil suits will be filed against the estates of McMichaels and Bryan.
