60 Year Anniversary Of US And Japan Peace Treaty

January 18, 2020, marked the 60th anniversary of the signing of the United States-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security.

At the point when the Treaty was first signed, it contained provisions that allowed the United States to intervene in Japanese domestic issues that may pose a danger to the country. That provision was later dropped in a revised version of the treaty.
