Today the 23rd of September, Saudi Arabia celebrates its 91st national day. The national holiday celebrates the unification of the lands of Saudi Arabia and the renaming them from the Kingdom of Nejd and Hejaz to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a royal decree of King Abdul Aziz Al Saud in 1932. King Aziz Al Saud is Saudi Arabia’s first ruling monarch followed by today’s Saudi king Salaman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, and the grandfather of crowned prince Muhammed Bin Salman.

The national holiday is a reminder of all the struggles and hard work of the people of Saudi Arabia, and the sacrifices they have made so all citizens can live a life of comfort and safety.

If there is a word that can describe the Saudi National Day, it would be Green. Everything turns green. The streets are decorated with Saudi flags while green and white balloons surround the kingdom. From buildings, clothes, peoples hair, down to their profile pictures on social media. The day is filled with folklore dances and songs created just for the occasion. Streets are crowded with people dancing and having a good time, which are the vibes of the national day in Saudi Arabia.

“On the anniversary of our national day, we always thank god for the security, stability, prosperity and development, and we will work for the now and for our future, inspired by the sacrifices our ancestors made for the sake of our country.” Tweeted King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud

The national day has become a huge opportunity for marketing and advertisement for businesses.
