Quebec fines company $1,500 for having an English website. Quebec’s Language is offensive to Anglophones
The Office québécois de la langue française announces that, on January 13, 2020, the company Exeter Construction inc. was found guilty of an offense under section 52 of the Charter of the French language. The company was fined $ 1,500.
The company, located at 1439 rue Bégin, in Saint-Laurent , was accused of having a website ( www.exeterconstruction.com ) whose content was not in French. The offense was noted on July 24, 2018.
