Vote rigging allegations sound like season one of Scandals but in fact, it’s the allegation being hurled at Alberta Premier Jason Kenny. His leadership campaign is being accused of obtaining fraudulent emails to cast ballots and illegally harvesting the voting pins from members of the Pakistani community. These pins are used to vote online or by phone for the candidates in the leadership race to be the leader of the party.
Jason Kenny’s United Conservative Party (UPC) is the focus of an ongoing RCMP investigation to determine if their actions interfered with the credibility of Canada’s democratic system.
