Jacinda Ardern wins Landslide victory to 2nd mandate

Ardern’s landslide victory is the biggest in almost fifty years for the Labour Party

New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was given a second mandate by New Zealanders in a landslide victory.

The Prime Minister has received widespread support from the country and international leaders. From the way the Prime Minister handled the mass shooting several months ago which resulted in the immediate banning of all assault rifles and deadly firearms, to her handling of the Coronavirus, support for the New Zealand Prime Minister is at an all-time high.

Canadians and New Zealanders, including addressing the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring a sustainable economic recovery that includes everyone, fighting climate change, and empowering women and girls around the world. Her dedication and determination have helped advance these important issues, and I look forward to continuing our progress to build a more inclusive, equal, and resilient world for everyone. Arden’s Administration has consistently reached across the aisle to work with members of the opposition and she has been a champion for human rights globally while ensuring those of New Zealanders remain prevalent.

“We are living in an increasingly polarized world, a place where, more and more, people have lost the ability to see one another’s point of view,” she said. “I think in this election, New Zealanders have shown that this is not who we are.” Prime Minister Ardern
