Canadian & UK Invests £2 Million In New Technology For Farmers

Farmers are confronting a significant test to sustain a worldwide populace of around 9 billion by 2050.

Both the UK and Canada perceive the monetary significance of farming and have been cooperating on projects that can improve the farming process in this industry.

The Canadian and UK agri-sector is worth C$108.1 billion and £109 billion individually in 2014. The UK Government’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, Transforming Food Production Challenge has up to £90 million to assist organizations with putting resources into new farming technology.

Improve UK, as a component of UK Research and Innovation, has up to £2 million from the government to put resources into innovative projects for companies working in partnership with their Canadian counterparts.

Partner businesses in Canada must be registered small or medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 500 employees and will receive funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program International.
